Recently, my friend purchased a magnetic bed which according to him, cures several ailments. He says, it functions on the principles of Magnetic Therapy. Does Magnetic bed (Therapy) really cure or will it have any side effects? Has anyone used a magnetic bed? If so, please share your views and experiences.

I haven't used it myself, but have seen this at a friends place. She says that it is used as a magnetic therapy for providing a kind of magnetic flux to your entire body. The Magnets are placed in the bed at different places and it helps polarize & energize the body cellsas well as improve blood circulation.

I completely trust alternate medicine in a lot of cases compared to Rx pills. However, Magnetic therapy is all bogus as there are no established effects on health.

^Exactly. Magnet therapy is not an alternative and complementary medicine. It is quack.

No way-- a magnetic bed cures nothing. A futile expenditure. Your friend should have read a little before making the investment.

^Magnetic tape, magnetic pillow, even shoes. What about that huh? Magnet Therapy doesn't belong to Complementary and Alternative Medicine category - it might give it a bad name.

A lot of money is made by magnetic bed manufacturers in the name of magnetic therapy. Its results are highly doubtful. There is no scientific proof to establish that magnetic bed cures. If it is really so, there is no necessity for hospitals. It's better to keep away from magnetic beds.

There is also a talk that regular usage of magnetic bed may in fact have an adverse effect on health.

What I have read regarding magnetic theraphy is about the products it is selling to people. Like nagnetic pillow, bed, bracelet etc. All of these are just mainly products that doesnt help at all. If you are feeling any akward in your body consult a doctor for it not trust this infomercial about some alternative med products.

Scientifically, magnetic therapy really works to stop the pain and swelling of our body. It uses magnetic fields to stimulate our nerves and block the pain that cause on it.

Magnetic therapy operates on the human body’s knowledge. The magnetic fields and charged ions on the body are controlled and benefits from its balance. When a part of body is hurt positive ions flood on the area, magnetic therapy causes the positive ions to flee the affected site allowing the body to return to its normal state.

I don't know if it is proven but I have heard that magnetic and copper bracelets cure hypertension and arthritis as well as other ailments.

Most people also say that it also lower the blood sugar level of a diabetic. I haven't tried it but I'm sure if this is true, this will be good for diabetics.
