My aunt suffers from incontinence. Everyone tries to avoid her. I really feel bad for her. What's the treatment for incontinence?

Incontinence can be cured or or at least managed. For stress incontinence, many women get good results from Kegel exercise, timed urination training, lifestyle changes and losing weight. Try to identify if citrus fruits, chocolate, tomatoes, vinegar, dairy products and spicy food might irritate her bladder. For urge incontinence, learning to retrain the bladder is often helpful. Medications may help but have side effects. Avoiding alcohol and caffeine also helps.

I sympathise with your aunt. It's true people avoid people suffering from incontinence because of foul odour emanating from them. We can not find fault with them.

The best treatment for urge incontinence is behavior therapy in the form of pelvic floor muscle exercises.

So there are some specific meds to treat urinary incontinence. I was also told that coconut juice is the treatment for this ailment but it’s only given as a supplement.
