I have been suffering from this for some time now. Everytime I coughed or sneezed, I used to leak a bit of urine. These days even when I laugh hard, this happens. Its not much but I know its happened, and I am very embarrassed about the act. I feel guilty and get upset and end up making myself and everyone else around me miserable after that. They however do not understand the reason for my sudden change of mood and I can't talk to them about it.

Any help?

Behavioral changes, such as changes to your diet, lifestyle, and urinary habits, are often enough to control incontinence. Reduce or eliminate caffeinated and carbonated drinks-such as coffee, tea, and soda pop-from your die. Do not drink more than one alcoholic drink per day.Try to identify any foods that might irritate your bladder-including citrus fruits, chocolate, tomatoes, vinegars, spicy foods, dairy products, and aspartame-and eat less of those foods. If you smoke, quit. If constipation is a problem, increase the amount of fiber in your diet. You can do this easily by adding a small amount of wheat bran, even a spoonful, to dishes you normally eat. If you are overweight, try to lose some weight. Remember that effective weight-loss programs depend on a combination of diet and exercise. Try pelvic floor Kegel exercises to strengthen pelvic muscles.

Your condition is called a stress incontinence. This happens when your urinary splincter is not strong enough to hold back the urine. This sometimes happens when you are on diuretics, antidepressants, sedatives, narcotics, or nonprescription cold or diet medicines.

Try going to the toilet every 3 hours whether you feel like or not, and remember to push it all out and empty your bladder completely while at it.

I do a bit of pelvic exercises and it helps. When you sit or lyedown then contract the muscles you would use to stop urinating. Press them and squeeze for 3 seconds and then relax for 3 seconds. Do this ten times. It helps control when you need it the most.

On my own opinion, I think coconut juice is a supplement to prevent urinary incontinence. It already proven itself on preventing some STD.

Do not assume things without any professional advice. It's better to seek a doctor's help about this problem. We may never know if this could help prevent it or worsen the situation.
