Hello,
I've heard that beduins take blood out of their bodies, saying this takes the 'bad blood' out and they say prophet Mohamed used to do it too. What are your thoughts on this?

Does it serve same purpose like blood donation? Because as far as i know donating blood may reduce risk of heart disease and stimulate the generation of red blood cells. Older people in good health have reported feeling invigorated by giving blood on regular basis.

I'm sorry, what do you mean exactly by "taking blood out?" Has this something to do with faith healers? If it is, don't trust it too much, they're quack doctors.

Yes you have to elaborate. What's taking blood out? I have seen this in the national geographic channel. quack doctors perform this takes out fless and blood out of your body and telling you that those are your diseases. But they were also revealed as fake healers. They are faking all their so called "operations" so people believe in them.

I have seen this medical practice on TV where they remove stones and blood off of your body and tell you that those are the ones that give you pain in some parts of your body. This is a fake treatment and it was also reveled in that TV show that there is no treatment for the illness of the patients who underwent this "surgery".

@Sarmila (original poster) - This topic wasn't taken as you have wanted it to be. You should've asked your question more precisely, people here come from different cultures, different faiths, apparently.

No. It's more of faith/religion issue, not about donating blood. smile

@concepcion1, jim2008, james555 - Neither did you get the question right. smile

Moral lesson: Original posters write specific questions. Original posters go back to their posts and answers the questions directed towards them.
