There's no point to having big muscles if you're not going to do anything with them!
Yes there is:
1. Look good naked
2. Protection
You're not going to get the cardiovascular benefits from weightlifting alone.
Really? I bet my bloodwork would prove you wrong as I havent done ANY cardiovascular exercises (ie treadmill, eliptical..etc) in well over 1 year......Through weightlifting alone I have been able to maintain a pretty good fitness level....I would say that lifting at a High Intensity (read as close to your 1 Rep Max as possible) along with the proper rest intervals one will have a pretty taxing cardiovascular workout...
