Doc, I have some old Stacker 2 pills here, the ones with ephedrine.

What are your thoughts on the ingredients in this product?

Well there is a probability that the bottle (if that is what they are stored in) could be expired since the Ephedrine ban occurred in early 2004.......another issue is how were they stored over this period of time.....

Could you post the ingredient profile? There is a likelihood that the ingredient is not readily available (it is also likely that total formula could have possibly changed over time....version 1, version2 ...etc)

Ah, you were right. The bottle expired in early 2007, so I tossed it. :-( In fact, it was a sad day as I tossed out about a dozen other bottles including fish oils, vitamins, and some prohormones. All expired.

Spherical,

I am sorry for your "loss" - however, out of the list, there are some things that may have just lost in potency rather than had been completely bad. 2007 is a rough sell because it was so long ago, however. There are certainly some acceptable fat-loss products on the market to date that have certain success with revival to an industry that suffered some serious black eyes circa: 2004/5.

That said - the fish oil AND ANY FATTY ACIDS for that matter - if they go expired...DUMP THEM, their rancidity could certainly yiled increased levels of unneeded oxidation into the body.

What is exactly the function of these pills?
For what has your doctor prescribed these pills?

The function of these pills: Thermogenic/Stimulant (Caffeine + Ephedra).................

Doctor would not have prescribed these pills....these were available OTC at any supplement store and even some gas stations (in packs of 3)

I thought the FDA issued a ban on the sale of Ephedra in the United States, in response to serious illnesses and injuries, including multiple deaths, associated with the use of dietary supplement products that contain ephedrine alkaloids and the agency's investigations and analyses of these illnesses and injuries.
