CureYourBody.com is excited to announce the launch of
its new forums. The next several months will be critical to setting up the
forums the way you want them to be. So
if you feel we should add more categories or sub forums, please let us know.
We'll add sub forums on our own as well, if we feel a
large number of posts are being made on a specific topic. For example, "Colon Cleansing" was added as a sub forum to the Gastroenterology forum since there seems
to be a lot of posts for that specific subject.
Hello Doc,
I take 60 mg of CO Q 10 and the make I use is the Wholefoods 30 mg q 10 and I also use their vitamin e 100 i.us a day. I buy them from there as it is a wholefood organic shop and I do other shopping there. What are your views on it? Thanks.
Whole Foods doesn't participate in any 3rd-party independent testing strategies that I am aware of. A 3rd party-independent test is where an organization (i.e. - consumerlabs.com) takes a product and tests to see if it meets label claims.
That said, if these products solely rely on the single ingredients then they may very well be fine by ingredient label claims.
Still, the suggested quantitiy of CoQ10 taken in a preventative mode in most studies as daily maintenance is 100mg per day. And, it is also important to realize that there are 8 different forms of Vitamin E. When you mention 100 IU's, it is very likely you are talking about solely an alpha-tocopherol brand...of which there are many better-suited alternatives to get adequate health benefits of than this. In fact, one of the biggest suppliers of Vitamin E's alpha tocopherol is byproduct of film processing (as soy), so you may consider a more natural source.
