After a few weeks, BAM…you realize you’ve been conned. That Free trial wasn’t really “free” after all. Maybe you neglected to read the fine print, or maybe it was so vague that you were never sure what you signed up for and you’re probably out some serious cash by now. That sucks, and we’re sorry that happened, but the important thing is to re-group, stop all charges, and maybe even get your money back.

It’s companies like the ones you will read about here that are giving the entire cleansing industry a dirty name. After all there’s a reason why top celebrities and doctors have endorsed the power of internal cleansing and that’s because it has so much potential to do good for the human body.
There’s no reason to doubt the power of the cleansing itself, but steer clear of predatory companies out to pull-one-over on you. Here’s a quick guide for those of you who have already been hit by one of these companies to get some recourse.
Here are some initial steps to take if you’ve been ripped-off by one of these companies:
- Go to the website of the product you ordered and read all the fine print so you know what you have already signed up for. Legally, these companies must tell you in however small print, exactly what you are signing up for, and how to weave through their web of customer service run-arounds.
- Call your bank. If you have been the victim of fraud, your bank or credit card company that the charges are going to can offer some solutions for you. Most banks will not just up and refund your money, but they can investigate allegations of fraud on your behalf, place stop payments on charges and change account and credit card numbers.
- Save ALL information you get from these companies, including receipts, emails, confirmations, and charge statements from your financial institution and log telephone calls. These things will come in handy, should legal action become necessary.
